Greetings Recruit Spilman,
If you do not already know my name, I am Colonel Joshua Dobkins of the 6th Marines Force Recon. I am a special forces soldier and the CO of the unit you have chosen to join. I serve in the leadership of this unit alongside my fellow officers, Colonel Erick Lynn and Colonel Andrew Laramie. Together, we command this unit through a joint leadership.
To get to this point as a recruit, it is likely that you have undergone some form of a initial interview. If you have not yet done this, you will need to contact one of the Command Staff, or a recruitment officer.
Once you have, then you should have been given approval along with the following initial orders. You have 48 hours to do the following, or you will be removed from the unit:
- Create a Forum account - Read all important Boot Camp information (Noted by stickied topics)(We will not be administering large portions of the Boot Camp sessions until we have a hard copy of Operation Flashpoint 2) - Report for duty in your Platoon's location. - Request a recruit's signature and avatar.
Once this has been done, you will be approved and accepted into Boot Camp. Then you will have one month to do the following (This has been altered as the game has not yet been released):
- Remain active on the boards. - Get to know the unit and how it operates. - Attend 2 Squad Drills. - Read all of the history of this unit, as well as all rules and regulations. - Train as much as possible to improve personal skills.
Once you feel that you have spent your time wisely, and retained the information necessary, as well as successfully attended two drill sessions, you may petition for a second interview. A Platoon officer will contact you within 72 hours of that time to set up a good time for the interview. The acceptance will not depend on the Platoon officer's opinion of you, but the Command Staff and Officer's Council. Once you have been approved, you will graduate from Boot Camp.
You are assigned to GREEN PLATOON and will need to report in to the proper location to begin Boot Camp.
You are officially inducted into the Marine Force Recon and are on your way to becoming a special forces soldier. You know what you need to do, so good luck and make us proud!
Regards,
Col. Josh Dobkins 6th Marine Force Recon Battalion US Marine Corps
